A film about the final days of Exeter's womens refuge.

Produced with Josha Gaunt (sound by Ollie Hall), 'The Final Resident' is a short film made in the final few days of Exeter's womens refuge. All but one of the residents have been moved out and we hear from the final resident about living in a women's refuge and the importance a safe place to restart her life after many years of domestic abuse. Exeter's womens refuge existed for 38 years before its closure due to funding changes. Its closure left no similar accommodation in Exeter, East/West/Central Devon.

Beautifully produced little film with an important message. Needs to get out there and be shown.” STUM “Your work really touched me, its simplicity and power reflected so beautifully in the imagery focused on, and it being shot in black & white.
