CAER HEDZ is a film that documents cross-generational collective action at an Iron Age hill fort, in which participants occupied the same temporal and creative space, whilst giving voice to local narratives.

The Iron Age hillfort under archaeological investigation serves as a contemporary locus for community participation, representation and symbolism across time and space.

Elements were filmed in an on-site animation studio during the CAER Heritage community dig in summer 2015. The film features 'talking heads' modelled in clay by young people from local schools alongside students and professional archaeologists from Cardiff University.

Artists Paul Evans and Jon Harrison created CAER HEDZ with support from local cameraman Vivian Thomas.
