Christie Chan is an independent writer and artist from Hong Kong. She also composes children’s music for educational purposes. She is one of the two co-founders of Art Matters Now, a curatorial initiative based in the North East of England. Christie studied Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and holds an MA in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University. She is a recipient of Sunderland Culture’s 2021 Creative Development Fellowship. Her writing has appeared on Corridor8 and her recent artwork was selected for the BALTIC Open Submission exhibition at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.
